Naturopathy and Energy Medicine is the greener way to enjoy good health and vitality. Below I will explain Naturopathy and Energy Medicine are and how they can help you and your family look and feel better. I hope you enjoy this article and will consider the use of Natural Medicine in the future.

What Is Naturopathy?

Naturopathic medicine blends centuries old non-toxic therapies with current advances in the study of natural health. Naturopathic medicine is based on the belief that the body has a natural ability to heal itself, given the right circumstances. In common with many other complementary therapists, naturopaths believe that the body, mind and spirit are inter-related. Imbalances are caused by stress, mental, emotional and spiritual problems, inadequate sleep, lack of fresh air and an accumulation of ‘toxins’ from today’s chemical environment. The treatment will help you to release suppressed emotions, shocks and traumas that you are holding in your system as well as identifying any allergies or food intolerances. The Naturopath will also treat any symptoms that you are experiencing.  Your Naturopath will identify the cause of the problem and decide which treatments and remedies would be best suited to each individual case. It is effective for a wide range of physical, mental and emotional and spiritual problem and is safe for all ages.

What is Energy Medicine?

The tools that we use in Energy Medicine are positive natural energies or vibrational frequencies. This style of healing (also called Vibrational Medicine) is based on the scientific principles that all matter vibrates to a precise frequency and that by using resonant vibration, balance of matter can be restored.
Vibrational medicine is a diagnostic and healing approach to illness using energy in various forms and frequencies. As a therapy, vibrational medicine is the application of different types of energy for healing, including approaches such as X-ray and radiation therapy for cancer and full spectrum light for treating seasonal affective disorders or the ‘winter blues’. However, vibrational medicine also covers the more subtle forms of treatment such as acupuncture, homeopathy, flower essences, crystal essences, therapeutic touch, harmonics, programmed remedies and many forms of natural healing.

This is the more alternative range of therapies that stress treatment of the whole person, sometimes referred to as ‘complementary’ medicine.
The vibrational approach, especially the subtle energy medicine approach, works by using selective frequencies of energy for the body that encourage the body’s own self-healing systems to do the work. Vibrational medicine has the potential to scan the body not only for illness states, but also for a disposition toward illness, that is a, pre-physical energetic disturbance that will lead to illness. There are a variety of diagnostic tools that can be used - the system I use is dowsing for health, which goes back centuries - and other more intuitive skills to uncover the source of the disease and to scan the body and it’s energy systems. If we can detect disturbances in the energy systems of the body before physical disease develops, then we have the basis for a whole new level of preventive medicine, which we have never really seen before.

The treatment may involve homeopathic remedies, flower essences, crystal essences, programmed remedies, harmonics, chakra and karmic essences and many more, in addition to working with nutritional modification, lifestyle changes and changing negative emotional and mental states. I don’t think we should look at vibrational medicine as individual modalities targeted against specific illnesses in the same way that allopathic medicine has evolved to think of the right drug for the right bug. If we are going to be truly holistic, we have to look at the whole person and design therapies that encompass the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of illness.

Case Study - A young woman came in for a consultation with me. She had been depressed for some time, had bad acne, IBS and had a general lack of confidence and motivation. She felt that nothing could help her and was only coming to see me for food intolerance testing for her IBS. During the consultation I convinced her that I could give her the tools to turn her life around, improve her mood and cure her IBS. I found when I tested her system that she had been through lots of trauma as a child, including losing her mother at a young age. This led to a great fear of abandonment and she had always found it hard to express her emotions. The shock and trauma of losing her mother was still in her system. I gave her a homeopathic remedy to release this shock, told her what foods she was intolerant to and gave her a flower essence for unexpressed grief and a course of high strength probiotics for her IBS. On her next visit 5 weeks later she said that during the first two weeks she had cried a lot, but after that had felt a lot better emotionally. Her IBS was getting better and her skin was a little better. When I tested her again the shock had been released and her grief had almost gone but there was some underlying anger. I gave her another homeopathic remedy which is not only great for the skin, but also very good for anger and an essence to release any blocked emotion. At the third appointment she looked like a different person, her skin was better and her energy levels were higher and she had an air of confidence that she had been missing for many years. Her IBS had disappeared.
